 The 841 Super Shield Conductive Coating reduces electromagnetic or radio frequency interference (EMI/RFI), an issue for all electronic devices.

It is a durable acrylic coating pigmented with a high purity nickel flake, and is UL approved for adhesion to ABS and polycarbonates at hot and cold temperatures.

It is designed to be applied to the interior of plastic electronic enclosures, and is a simple way to deal with EMI/RFI issues, allowing devices to pass FCC emission testing.

Applications & Usage

Primary applications are in cell phones, PDA’s, other consumer electronics, telecommunication equipment, industrial equipment, medical devices, military devices, and aerospace equipment. It can also works well on drywall, and can be used to shield entire rooms

Instructions For Applying MG Chemicals Super Shield Using Spray Equipment:

1. Ensure you have mixed the Super Shield well initially.
Upon delivery open the can and mix by hand using a large stir rod until a uniform suspension is acquired. Next place the top on the can and ensure a tight seal. Place the can inverted into a paint shaker and shake for 15 minutes.

2. Pour the Super Shield into your dispensing equipment.
Pour the Super Shield into your dispensing equipment and switch on the constant agitation (stirring). Pour in your solvent thinner (or recycled thinner from a previous run).

3. Seal the dispensing equipment.
Seal the dispensing equipment such that the solvent thinner can not evaporate. Evaporation of the solvent thinner will cause the viscosity of the Super Shield to increase and result in poor performance of the spray equipment. As the dispensing tank's level of Super Shield decreases the agitation will speed up the evaporation of the solvent thinner into the headspace above the suspension. Place a non-reactive, inert diaphragm to cover the suspension. Flush the headspace with a light flow of nitrogen to ensure no air is present. Ensure a tight seal.

4. Application
Ensure the dispensing system is under constant stirring. Flush the line with the solvent thinner if the line will sit idle more than one minute. Ensure the Super Shield is not left in the line when not applying it. (i.e. if you are not spraying there should be no Super Shield in the line, just solvent thinner).
